Mitsubishi’s certified pre-owned warranty has been recognized for its strong coverage. The main reason is warranty length: 5 years or 60,000 miles of bumper-to-bumper coverage from the car’s original sale date, along with 10 years or 100,000 miles of powertrain protection.
Mitsubishi’s certified pre-owned warranty also offers no deductible, helping enhance its status as one of Autotrader’s favorite CPO plans. There are also special financing terms for drivers who choose a CPO Mitsubishi. The only flaw noted is that Mitsubishi’s certified warranty is not transferable to the vehicle’s next owner.

Powertrain Limited warranty
10-year/100,000-mile Powertrain Limited Warranty coverage as the original owner, up to ten years from the vehicle’s original in-service date or date of first use, or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
New vehicle warranty
Remainder of the 5-year/60,000-mile Basic Coverage of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, providing continued protection from the vehicle’s original in-service date or first use, whichever comes first.
Anti-corrosion coverage
Coverage against corrosion perforation defects for the remainder of the 7-year/100,000-mile Anti-Corrosion/Perforation Limited Warranty, helping protect your vehicle from qualifying rust-through damage.
Zero deductible
There is zero deductible for covered repairs under the program, helping reduce unexpected service costs throughout ownership and providing added peace of mind and confidence in your vehicle’s long-term protection.

What it takes to become Certified Pre-Owned
Not just any car has what it takes to become a Certified Pre-Owned Mitsubishi. Every vehicle selected must meet strict criteria before it can qualify for the program.
Eligibility requirements
- Under five years old
- Fewer than 60,000 miles
- Passes a 123-point inspection
*The following models are excluded from Mitsubishi’s Certified Pre-Owned program: Lancer Evolution, Raider, Lancer Ralliart, and Lancer Sportback Ralliart.
INSPECTION PROCESS
Vehicle history and 123-point inspection
As part of the prequalification process, every vehicle that may become Certified Pre-Owned must meet important review standards. This includes a Vehicle History Report and a rigorous 123-point inspection by a Certified Technician.
Vehicle History Report
A Vehicle History Report is required for every vehicle that eventually becomes a CPO. This report includes vital information like accident and repair history.
It also helps identify vehicles that do not meet Mitsubishi standards, so they can be eliminated from consideration. The result is that when you choose from a selection of Certified Pre-Owned Mitsubishi vehicles, you are choosing from some of the best used cars on the market.
123-point inspection
Every Certified Pre-Owned Mitsubishi must pass a rigorous 123-point inspection by a Certified Technician. This inspection is designed to test every aspect of the vehicle to help ensure it meets the strictest standards.
